Shipping Policy
At Moss & Lantern, each piece is made and packed with care, intention, and attention to the small details that make handmade work so special. From tiny mushroom worlds to glossy resin treasures, every order is prepared slowly and thoughtfully before it begins its journey to you.
We currently ship through USPS and offer both standard and upgraded shipping options at checkout.
Processing Time
Because each Moss & Lantern piece is handcrafted, please allow [3–7 business days] for processing before your order ships.
Processing time is the time it takes for us to prepare, finish, pack, and carefully send your order on its way. This is separate from the shipping time selected at checkout.
Business days do not include weekends or holidays.
Shipping Through USPS
All orders are shipped through USPS. Once your order has been prepared, you’ll receive tracking information so you can follow its journey.
Delivery times may vary depending on your location, the shipping service selected, weather, seasonal volume, and USPS transit conditions.
Expedited Shipping
For those who would like their package to arrive sooner once it has shipped, we may offer expedited USPS shipping at checkout for an additional cost.
Please note: choosing expedited shipping only affects transit time with USPS. It does not shorten the handmade creation or processing time needed to prepare your order.
Rush Service
If you need your order to be prepared more quickly, we may offer a limited number of rush service spots when our studio schedule allows.
Rush service is a paid add-on that moves your order forward in our processing queue. This service applies to processing time only and does not include upgraded shipping unless expedited shipping is also selected separately at checkout.
Because our work is handmade and our studio capacity is limited, rush service is subject to availability.
A Gentle Note About Timing
We do our best to prepare and ship each order as quickly and carefully as possible, while still honoring the slow and detailed nature of handmade work.
Even when a faster shipping method is selected, the time needed to create, finish, and pack your piece with care remains its own part of the process.
Shipping Addresses
Please make sure your shipping address is entered correctly at checkout. Moss & Lantern is not responsible for delays or delivery issues caused by incorrect or incomplete shipping information.
If you notice an error in your address, please contact us as soon as possible. We’ll do our best to help if your order has not yet shipped.
Lost or Delayed Packages
Once a package has been handed to USPS, it is in the care of the carrier. While we’re always happy to help where we can, Moss & Lantern is not responsible for postal delays, lost packages, or transit issues once the order has shipped.
If your package appears to be delayed or lost, we recommend contacting USPS directly with your tracking number for the most up-to-date information.
Damaged Deliveries
We package each order with great care so it can arrive safely. If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and include clear photos of both the item and its packaging so we can review the situation and help with a replacement where applicable.
